gnome-dvb-daemon software package provides daemon to setup your DVB devices, record and watch TV shows and browse EPG, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-dvb-daemon
gnome-dvb-daemon is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-dvb-daemon package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-dvb-daemon *
You will get with gnome-dvb-daemon package name, version, architecture and description in a table
